FOSS COTTAGE Reviews:
We visited Foss cottage after staying in a nearby smaller cottage over many years so we knew what to expect from East Prawle and the fantastic views over the Channel and were not disappointed. A truly lovely place to relax, unwind and get away from the rat race. If you cant enjoy yourself without Wifi, TV, radio or phone signals, then this is probably not the place for you, but if you are happy to read, walk, watch the boats go by and listen to LPs ranging from jazz, swing, classical, 1950s, 1960s , 1970s compilations etc, you will love it . Wifi available in the Pigs Nose Inn in the village
We’ve just spent a wonderful sunny Easter here with 4 adults and 4 children. The great thing about this place is there is something to suit everyone. The teenagers were happy wandering up the quiet lane to the village to play on the green or hang out in the garden. The cottage has the most amazing views over the fields to the sea and is very peaceful at the end of a row of cottages so private yet not isolated. I have been staying here since I was a child and now bring my teenage children here. I love it as much as ever – and the best thing is that they love it as much as me!
I stayed here with small children and it was the perfect place for an easy holiday. Wonderful beaches all around, and also a cottage with space inside and out where we could relax and sunbathe while the children played happily. There is an orchard with swing and trampoline plus a slightly bumpy sloping place for family football. I’d like to come back to do some serious walking one day!

Our sixth visit to East Prawle and our second stay at Foss. As beautiful and perfect as we remembered. Wonderful weather all week. We enjoyed introducing our grandchildren aged 13 months and 2 to Lannacombe, Gara Rock and all the magical rocky coves between, (They also loved the trampoline). We all fitted in – not a squash!
We have had a fantastic holiday in this wonderful cottage…As well as enjoying the local beaches – kaying in the River Dart from Dittisham and mackerel fishing from Salcombe were highlights.

Fab time @ Foss Cottage. Spotted a barn owl in the orchard. Loved the coastal walks. ..P.S. Great record collection!
The March family, Aug-Sept 2013:
“They whooped at the trampoline, swung on the swings and ascended to the lookout bench [in the garden] by the vertical route. Then they went indoors, counted the beds, marvelled at the shower, found books, games and gazed in awe at the beach equipment…We had glorious weather all week.

Had a wonderful week here. Mix of sun and rain but enjoyed it all. House has been very nicely improved without changing character – well done! See you all again soon

Wild and remote – a lovely retreat from city life! Found the cottage access nerve-wracking but the view was worth it! Hope to be back to explore the coastline further and enjoy the cosiness of Foss.
